DAY 6: CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI
After a leisurely breakfast around 10:00 AM, you’ll embark on an overland journey to Chiang Mai, stopping at Wat Rong Khun, famously known as the "White Temple." This contemporary Buddhist and Hindu temple, designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat and completed in 1998, stands out for its unique architecture. Unlike any other temple in Thailand, its ubosot (consecrated assembly hall) gleams in white, adorned with pieces of white glass. The color white symbolizes the purity of Lord Buddha, while the glass represents his wisdom, illuminating the Earth and the Universe. Every element of the temple reflects profound religious beliefs. The bridge leading to the temple signifies the transition from the cycle of rebirth to the Abode of Buddha, with a small semicircle before the bridge representing the human realm and the large circle with fangs symbolizing Rahu, reflecting the impurities of the mind and the concept of suffering.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your journey to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, check in and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Known as the Rose of the North, Chiang Mai is celebrated for its breathtaking natural beauty and rich indigenous culture. Founded in 1296 by King Mengrai the Great as the capital of the Lanna Thai kingdom, it has evolved into the economic, cultural, and tourism hub of Northern Thailand.

DAY 7: CHIANG MAI
Early Morning Alms and Local Market Experience (06:00 - 08:00 hrs)
Start your day with an enriching experience at a local market during its busiest hours, where you can partake in the cherished Thai tradition of making merit. Before dawn, monks in saffron robes stroll through the streets, collecting alms of boiled rice and other food offerings from the community. In return, they bless those who contribute, creating a profound connection between giver and receiver. You’ll have the opportunity to personally present alms and, afterwards, enjoy a local-style breakfast from nearby vendors.
