Angkor Discovery Tour

Day 1: ARRIVE INTO SIEM REAP

Arrive at Siem Reap airport, meet & transfer to hotel, check-in. Rest of the day is free at own leisure, or to explore the charming city. 

Evening: Enjoy dinner with Apsara Dancing show at local restaurant.

Day 2: SIEM REAP FULL DAY TEMPLE EXPLORATION

In the morning, we will explore to the kingdom of Angkor by visiting the last capital of Angkorian Empire, Angkor Thom via the South Gate, the giant stone faces city temple of Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terrace and the Lepper King Terrace.

Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, head out with your local guide to begin exploring the huge temple complex that is Angkor Wat.  Explore the interior of the great temple, spending a couple of hours discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. Afterwards enjoy sunset at a prime vantage spot at one of the temple ruins, weather permitting.

Day 3: SIEM REAP FULL DAY TEMPLE EXPLORATION

In the morning, we explore the most dedicated beauty of the Khnmer temple carvings of Banteay Srei in the 11th century. Continue to visit Banteay Samre, the three-tiered temple-hill of Pre Rup and Lake of Srah Srang. 

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, exploration to Ta Keo, Chau Say Tevada, Thommanon and the impressive Ta Prohm temple, where the famous film Tomb Raider was shot and brought the Angkor Wonders to the world.

Day 4: SIEM REAP FULL DAY TOUR

In the morning, visit Pour Krom Village, walking through this lovely local village to experience how local people live, visit a morning local market before transferring to Chong Knies village to enjoy a boat trip on Tonle Sap Great Lake. Having lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we visit to the Silk Farm at Pourk Village, where visitor can witness start-to-finish silk creation – growing and harvesting mulberry (food for the silkworm), the breeding process and life cycle of the silkworm, collection of cocoons, separation and spinning the silk, the dying process and the creation of beautiful silk weavings on wooden, multi-harness hand looms can all be seen. Before returning back to town, we visit the Artisans d’Angkor (stone and wood carvings) workshops to redevelop traditional Cambodian artisan skills.

Day 5: SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE

Free time at your own leisure for shopping or exploring the city till transfer to airport for departure flight.
